METAMORPHOSIS PROJECT

The Metamorphosis Project was about a subject related to one of the aspects of your own identity that had to be created with mix mediums. This could be versatile from displaying a relevant idea to the aspects from your own identity from your dreams, hobbies, talents, and so on. I chose to emphasize on skills as an artist as I have always wanted to further explore working with digitals arts and traditional arts. I also wanted to add a bit of interpretation regarding
For this mixed media project, I worked with 3D modeling, digital painting, and traditional drawing for this piece. First, I 3D model the body in Autodesk ZBrush and rendered the model. The body is depicted with heavy water dripping off the body as the model is meant to be an aquatic being. I edited the rendered frame in Adobe Photoshop of the model and digitally painted the background into a fantasy-swamp environment with lotus flowers resembling rebirth of Venus. I printed out the digital painted piece with the 3D model on a canvas paper that got framed. I finished up the touches with traditional drawing with a silver sharpie pen to illustrate the thorns on the black-frame borders and gel pens to add jewelry, highlights, and single-line facial expression.
