ART HISTORY UNDERGRADUATE PROMOTION VIDEO

2024

As an Art History Multimedia Marketing Intern, it is one of my responsibilities to create interview content with the undergraduate students part of the Art History program and edit the videos for promotional and marketing materials for the Art History department at Pennsylvania State University. This is the first interview video I had done from my internship where I interviewed undergraduate student, Shan Wu who is pursuing a Bachelor’s of Arts in Art History with intentions of continuing in graduate school. We have these interview sessions to not only promote the art history department for it’s great quality of academic resources and opportunities, but to display an insight for students who are interested in the art history program at Penn State with a personal touch for the viewers to relate to.

For recording the session, I utilized my canon camera and borrowed audio equipment. I attached a microphone piece to my camera and left a zoom recorder near the interviewee in reassurance that if the microphone piece from my camera is low on battery or didn’t pick up any dialogue, I can easily get the sound recordings from the zoom. After the session, I edited the content from both Adobe Premiere and After Effects for the introduction, transitions, and video effects. I also edited the sound recordings with Adobe Audition and Audacity to clean up the audio from any clicking sounds, background noise, and any unnecessary sounds.
