ECLIPSE 2024

On April 8th, 2024, I had the wonderful opportunity and experience of capturing photographs of the eclipse. When I was a kid, I have always been fascinated of seeing eclipses as I find them mesmerizing and beautiful, especially as we do not often see solar eclipses. Now being older, being able to take professional shots was a exciting time as I had to work diligently and quickly to get the right shots from the location I was observing at. I never had the chance to utilize a solar eclipse lens so it was a brand new learning experience I swiftly developed to adjust my angles. I was very fortunate enough to get a lot of great, close-up photographs of the eclipse up in New York. While the clouds did covered the totality of the eclipse where I couldn’t get any shots of, I still felt fulfilled in achieving my goal of taking photographs of the eclipse occurring. I processed some of the images through camera raw on Adobe Photoshop for a better outlook of the eclipse without the sun glares in the way. I do look forward again to having this experience in the next couple of years when the solar eclipse sets.
